Only one payout per week with other payroll company

Working together with a payroll company is something that Joël Nunes Xavier De Medeiros, owner of Holt and Café de Opera isn’t unfamiliar with. ‘The payroll company we worked with before JAM! was fine, but their system was kind of unwieldy. Also, they were only able to do payouts once a week, which then led to my employees getting their salary a week too late at times.’ Because of this, Joël started looking for a new collaboration. Via his business consultant he ended up at JAM!, and after a good conversation the collaboration started. JAM! has been working together with Joël and co-owners Gil, Niels and Freek for quite some time now. ‘And I honestly have to say: I am really content with it,’ Joël says.

Making very quick switches

Joël values the short lines of communication a lot, because he can handle- and close things quickly this way. It works good, according to him: ‘JAM! makes quick switches, and I am very pleased with my HR Manager. This is because there have been a lot of new issues that I have had questions about, like acquisition agreements, work permits and registering employees. I can always rely on JAM! with this.’ Joël mentions the takeover of employees with vast hours the extra selling point: ‘Most payroll companies don’t do that.’

Joël continues: ‘I think JAM! is a very flexible and transparent company. With JAM!, I have the feeling I can always call, without that beïng an issue.’ According to him, this also applies to the small questions.

The unburdening of hours of administrative work

In the beginning, Joël had to adjust to the personal online portal MyJAM!. The time he saves with this app is the biggest advantage, so he says: ‘Because of MyJAM!, I don’t have to go through the entire registering process of new employees anymore.’ JAM! puts the responsibility of registering in the hands of the employees themselves. Joël stands behind this: ‘The new employees are often quite young, and JAM! teaches them that they have to do something themselves as well in order to get registered. You give the instructions, and the new employees have to get to work in MyJAM! themselves. That really makes it the last resort: if they don’t take action themselves, then they don’t get a contract and aren’t paid.’

Because there are no longer hours of administrative work on the schedule, Joël gets to focus on entrepreneurship. And it also means he no longer has to stay up to date on the latest regulations and legislation. ‘That gives me – and my employees – a lot of freedom and rest.’
